With their new console, Nintendo was expected to focus on the Nintendo Switch. And they really gave fans a reason to fork out for the console.
Third Party Games
After their lovely feature in the launch trailer for third-party support on the Switch, featuring Skyrim, we were wondering what else they can bring to the console. The answer. Rocket League. And not only that, but you can play the football with cars game via cross-play so you can compete against Xbox One, Steam and Windows 10 players. You can also get FIFA 18 but it’s doubtful any FIFA fans will turn to the Switch for their football fix.
Rocket League is coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year.
Pokémon Coming to the Switch!!
With Pokémon Direct coming a week before E3, we weren’t expecting many Pokémon-based announcements. And we were so wrong. They confirmed that a new Pokémon open-world RPG was coming to the Nintendo Switch soon and that it’s being developed by Game Freak. This is what Nintendo fans have been dying for since the Nintendo Gamecube era. Since there’s no official release date, Pokémon fighting game, Pokkén Tournament DX will have to tide all those Pokénerds over until then.
Super Mario Odyssey
We got treated to a tonne of new footage from the next Sandbox Mario game, Super Mario Odyssey. It mainly showed the true power that ‘Cappy’, Mario’s hat wields. His hat can be used to possess enemies for a short period of time for Mario to use to his advantage and can be used as an extra platform/ weapon. The hat’s power changes its look, but we do love Mario in a sombrero.
Super Mario Odyssey will be released for the Nintendo Switch on October 27, 2017.
