Spring is finally here after a dark winter of not-so cheap games. But Xbox has our back, and with it, great deals in their Spring sale. Here’s the Procrastinerd guide on what’s worth buying.
Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition | Xbox One (£6)
Released back in 2012, Sleeping Dogs proved to be one of the biggest surprises of that year. Set in Hong Kong, the game proved that having zero expectations can pay off. The tale of Wei Shen and his conflict between his gang member roots and police background combined with innovative martial arts-inspired combat mechanics makes Sleeping Dogs a must for any gamers collection.
For £6, you get the original game and all 24 previous DLC. This includes mission, weapons, and outfits, along with two expansions to the story.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt | Xbox One (£17.50)
Geralt ventured out into the land of The Witcher 3 to do witch hunting and stuff, and it was his most successful outing, winning multiple Game of the Year awards. CD Projekt Red perfected the RPG genre with an unique combat system, diverse landscape, and gorgeous graphics.
The beauty of the game is that you can set out trying to kill some wild beast for one bloke, then end up halfway across the map an hour later on some other quest collecting clams.
Just Cause 2 | Xbox 360 [Backwards Compatible] (£2.99)
Before Rico travelled to the Mediterranean island of Medici for Just Cause 3, he destroyed the dictatorship on another island in Asia for Just Cause 2.
If you want to see his trail of destruction before the HD shine of next-gen, it’s worth the £3 price tag. Especially now you can play it on the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One.
The Telltale Games Collection | Xbox One (£23.10)
Five games for the price of one. In this collection you get Telltale’s Game of Thrones, Tales From The Borderlands, The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead Seasons 1&2.
There has never been a better time to pick up this bundle since Season 3 of The Walking Dead Telltale series is due for release later this year.
The Escapists Bundle | Xbox One (£10.40)
Escaping prisons and zombies (not at the same time) forms this Escapists bundle. The Escapists tasks you with using all the tactics and dropped soap you could dream of, slowly but surely breaking your way out of prison.
The Escapists: The Walking Dead sees you play as Rick Grimes trying to keep your group of survivors alive in familiar locations such as Woodbury and Alexandria. There’s also a new survival mode where you have to fend off the walkers for as long as possible.
The Xbox Spring Sale ends on March 28.
